Pomegranates: Fighting Heart Disease
'How good are beta-blockers for fighting hypertension? Not very...according to the doctors who study them. Despite the fact that these drugs have been prescribed for a long time, there's a growing concern that beta-blockers should no longer be the first-choice treatment for blood pressure control.
One group of cardiologists went so far as to publish a medical article in which they state that although beta-blockers do lower blood pressure, there's no evidence that the drugs reduce the risk of heart attack or stroke. Further, these doctors say, "...the incidence of adverse effects is substantial..."
A better idea for heart disease: pomegranates. According to researchers in Israel, pomegranates help prevent blood clots. They help lower blood pressure. They improve the amount of oxygen reaching the heart for patients with heart disease. They may even help prevent prostate cancer and fight arthritis pain. No prescription drug on Earth can do all that!'
Glyconutrients, or plant-based "health sugars", are a key factor in Mannatech and founder Sam Caster's products. Mannatech are the leaders in the glyconutrient industry and wan to share this optimal health opportunity with you as glyconutrients are necessary in the human diet.

Anger - Major Energy Killer
'Anger is one of the major time and energy-killers. If anything good comes from anger and its by-products, hatred and bitterness, I've yet to see it. It accomplishes nothing, regardless of whether it's aimed at others, oneself or inanimate objects. In the final analysis, the angry person is saying, 'The world and its people must live up to my expectations.' Of course, such a demand is totally ridiculous. Anger starts wars, and unless we learn to control our anger, it may lead to the total extinction of humanity.
Anger can get loads of sympathy, attention and power over those who will allow you to manipulate them.
Anger gives you licence to go temporarily insane, thus exonerating you from responsibility for unsatisfactory behaviour.
Finally, anger is an excuse for incompetence. You can blame your bad temper for your inability to think straight or take constructive action.....'
Glyconutrients may give help with overall optimal health. Mannatech Inc with founder Sam Caster have produced PLUS helping with hormone regulation. Glyconutrients redefine wellness and are designed to give you assurance of nutritional health.

Cypress Help for HRT Treatment
'Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens) originated in West Asia. Its silhouette is familiar in Mediterranean landscapes. The leafy branches contain bioflavopnoids and an essential oil, rich in monoterpenic carbides. The cones contain diterpenic acid and flavonic derivatives.
All these constituents make it an excellent medicament for venous circulatory problems. Cypress nuts are an extremely active product for protectin the capillaries.'
Mannatech Inc with Sam Caster the founder, have produced glyconutrients including Plus containing a proprietary blend of phytohormones, plant-based steroidal saponins, and glyconutrients to support the body's natural ability to maintain good health.

Healing Beauty in Nature
Edward Bach the Physician loved the quiet countryside and the beauty of the trees and plants. He gave us plants for healing and some of the remedies are below:
'Honeysuckle - This flower can help those that have a hard time moving forward with their lives as they are stuck in the past. They dwell upon memories and past experiences and can often become detached from reality. This is often seen in older people who may have lost loved ones and feel the need to cling to their memory, Honeysuckle can help with the ability to accept change and not to forget the past but to learn from it.
Scleranthus - Decisions, decisions! We ask ourselves questions like "What will I wear today? Which wine should I buy? Which, red or white wine?" Every day it can be harder for some than others to make a decision. We go back and forth from one idea to the other, being pulled in two different directions. This imbalance can also cause mood swings. The scleranthus remedy helps your centre of gravity and restores balance to the mind.
Agrimony - We never really know what happens behind closed doors, or in this case, behind a cheerful demeanour. A smiling face doesn't always mean a happy soul. People that need the agrimony remedy appear as though they are happy, but are really repressing feelings or circumstances that they are afraid to face. This remedy promotes a feeling of acceptance, and also one of joy.'
Mannatech Inc with Sam Caster, produced glyconutrients which also may affect mood. Their product 'Plus' is used for hormones balance that can affect mood swings. Glyconutrients are necessary for optimal health but are mostly missing from our diet.

Improving Your Digestion
'Without doubt supplemental digestive enzymes can help a sluggish digestive system.
here are some tips to help stimulate your own enzyme production and hydrochloric acid secretion:
- take a vitamin B complex - this vitamin group is important for the production of digestive enzymes
- consume bitter foods i.e. rocket and endives, to help activate the digestive process
- half a lemon squeezed in half a glass of water may also stimulate digestive juices.
In sports nutrition, enzyme supplementation is being looked at to aid in muscle recovery from injury, as well as strengthening of athletes' immune systems. ........
As the population continues to age, and life in the 21st century continues to be fast paced and stressful, the future of supplemental enzymes is bright. ........
The advantage of plant/fungal derived enzymes over animal-sourced enzymes is their ability to effectively breakdown food in the upper stomach without the enzymes themselves being destroyed by the gastric juices.'
Mannatech Inc with Sam Caster have produced GI-Zyme, which is a plant-sourced supplement for ease in digestion. Mannatech's scientists have also produced GI-Pro which supports healthy digestive flora and improves digestion. Glyconutrients are needed in our body and may give optimal health and well-being.

Caffeine Boost Aspirin
Keeping the energy up, to press on regardless as we try to tolerate pain, any kind as well as headaches can be daunting. Here is a little boost for those problem days.
'Caffeine is a safe addition to over-the-counter pain relievers, boosting their effectiveness on tension and migraine headaches by as much as forty per cent, according to a panel of experts convened by the Nation Headache Foundation.
"We concluded that caffeine significantly increases the effectiveness of analgesics like aspirin and acetaminophen," says panel leader Jerome Goldstein,M.D., director of the San Francisco headache Clinic.
The panel discounted caffeine's association with rebound headaches, where pain is caused by an excessive use of headache medication, and withdrawal headaches. While symptoms can occur from caffeine withdrawal in those who consume it regularly, Goldstein and his colleagues note that the effects of physical dependence on caffeine are generally mild and are not an important factor in the occasional use of pain relievers.'
Mannatech Inc. with chairman Sam Caster, have introduced another of their glyconutrient products, PhytoMatrix. It uses a patented hydroponic cultivation technology which makes it possible for plants to absorb for greater guantities of minerals. Glyconutrients support your body's natural ability to reach optimum nutritional levels and play a role in enhancing quality of life.

Sugar Helping the Immune System
'Research has shown that a component of the natural sugars in plants could make flu vaccines up to 100 times more effective.
The head of the Diabetes and Endocrinology Department at Flinders Medical Centre in Adelaide, Professor Nikolai Petrovsky, has discovered that it can safely boost the effectiveness of commercial influenza vaccines.
He says the natural sugar helps stimulate the human immune system.
Professor Petrovsky says it has the potential to offer much higher protection against influenza-A and to extend vaccine supplies.
"It actually only requires a much smaller does of vaccine, which means that vaccine supplies which currently can be quite stretched would go a lot further," he said.
"Hopefully everyone would be able to receive a vaccine, not just high risk groups."
The hospital is looking for people to trial a vaccine containing the substance.
"It could potentially be available within a year or two," Professor Petrovsky said.
"I think if we did face a flu pandemic then we'd be doing everything we can to see it made available immediately rather than to have to even wait that long."
Professor Petrovsky thinks it could work equally well in the avian flu vaccine.'
GlycoScience is designed to provide information on nutritional saccharides - glyconutrients -natural sugars, that form the scientific underpinnings for Mannatech's US product line to US Professionals to learn more about safety and effectiveness of nutritional supplements for patients. Sam Caster, founder and Chairman of Mannatech, produce glyconutrients that are necessary although generally missing from our diet.

Good News About Heart Disease
There
'Enormous advances have been made during the past several decades in the treatment of cardiovascular disease (CVD), including minimally invasive procedures that can unblock clogged arteries and even cure certain heart rhythm disturbances. We also now have imaging techniques rivaling machines that once existed only in science fiction that allow us to see remarkable detailed views of the vascular system.
Despite this high-tech progress........This year, an estimated 700,000 Americans will have a new heart attack and about 500,000 will have a recurrent one. More than 160,000 Americans die suddenly of cardiac arrest annually- and about two-thirds of them are unaware they had heart disease......The AHA advises physicians to routinely evaluate the risk of heart attack and stroke in patients as young as 20........
You can take control of a host of risk factors, including high blood cholesterol, high blood pressure, smoking, dietary factors, obesity and physical inactivity. How? With what we call TLC or Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes. TLC involves consciously making healthy choices and actively taking control of your health....Three steps to achieving cardiovascular risk reduction through TLC - knowledge, behavioral change and maintaining behavioral change.'
Sam Caster CEO of Mannatech Inc. focused on products that contained aloe vera extract during the first two years of the Company. Mannatech Inc. announced it's flagship Ambrotose in 1996, based on the discovery that the body's immune system needs eight plant-based sugars- also known as glyconutrients - to function properly.

Key Foods to Beat PCOS
A diagnosis of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) revealed that psychologist wasn't eating as well as she'd previously thought. Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) Karen Kingham reveals how better nutritional choices improved her fertility and gave her energy she never thought possible.......PCOS is most commonly caused by the body's resistance to the effects of insulin. The condition can disrupt the menstrual cycle, cause weight gain and acne, increase the risk of diabetes and raise blood cholesterol levels.
Cut down on carbs like high-GI(Glycemic Index) foods such as Jasmine rice, potatoes and white bread. These foods cause hormonal imbalances. Swap for basmati, as well as noodles, legumes and low-GI bread and fill a quarter of your plate with lean meats, half with vegies and a quarter with carbs to achieve better balance. This nutrition will give much more energy.
Key foods to beat PCOS are as follows:
Naturally low in fat and high in protein, fibre, vitamins and minerals legumes such as dried peas, beans and lentils also have a low GI, which keeps insulin levels steady, a key goal for managing PCOS. Aim to eat legumes three to four times a week.
Basmati Rise - As a low-fat carb, rice is a great food; unless you eat too much of it. You may swap rice for noodles or pasta at some meals, as both have an even lower GI.
Low-GI Bread - While highly processed white breads have a high GI, whole grains are lower-GI, have more fibre and look for breads lower in salt.
Salad Vegetables - When portion control is important, using plenty of healthy salad vegetables to fill you up is a smart way of keeping hunger at bay and the kilojoule intake down.'
Mannatech Inc.'s cutting-edge scientists have produced PhytoMatrix, a plant-sourced multivitamin and mineral supplement utilising proprietary technology to provide superior delivery of essential vitamin and minerals and important phytochemicals.

Reasons to Go Organic
'There is a long list of reasons to buy organically raised foods. I go to great pains and expense to do that, so obviously I am in favour of it. Yes, you will pay more, and not just because the sellers know they can charge more. The cost of raising livestock and produce as nature intended in a world that is far from its original design is hugely expensive. (Such a pity...)
Most toxins cannot be seen or detected by human senses. Psychologically we want to see the beauty of nature and tell ourselves we are looking at a clean, pure, safe, healthy nutritional environment - but that, my friends, is a trap.
Most people can start to small benzene in the air at 1.5-4.7 parts of benzene per million parts of air(ppm). They can smell benzene in water at 2 ppm. The EPA has set the maximum permissible level of benzene in drinking water at 5 parts per billion (ppb). One ppb is one 1000th of a ppm. Therefore, long before you can smell benzene, you will have already far exceeded safe levels. Most people can't begin to taste benzene in water until it reaches 0.5-4.5 ppm, again, far beyond safe levels. With this fact in mind, as you continue reading please try to suppress the inevitable thought that will go something like, "But my environment looks great, and I feel just fine."
Mannatech Inc. develops nutritional supplements, topical products, and weight-management products. Its products are designed to support cell-to-cell communication, the immune system, the endocrine system, skin, and health, as well as nutritional support during weight loss. It provides various nutritional supplements for overall health and wellness.

Hunza People Living Beyond 100
'Many studies have demonstrated that a healthy mental attitude not only creates a healthier bio-chemistry in the brain and body, but is also more likely to support a healthy, active lifestyle. Here are some examples of what I mean.
Tucked away in the mountains of central Asia is a tribe called Hunza. What's remarkable about these people is that they consistently live beyond the age of 100. And they have a stunning lack of disease.
Among the Hunza, a 70 year old is considered a youngster and is expected to remain healthy, active, and alert for decades. "Old age" is simply not an option for these remarkable people. If you expect to be working in the fields and riding your horse when you are 100 years old, as the Hunza typically do, there's a great chance it will happen for you!
I have seen this countless times in my medical experience. Bill was a patient I met through my work with Dr. Dan Ornish. At age 85, Bill successfully overcame life-threatening heart disease and today he travels the world, is an accomplished Alpine hiker, and practices yoga every day.
When a reporter asked Bill about the secret to his remarkably active life, he replied: "Old age is something that happens to someone who is at least 15 years older than me!"
It's wrong to assume that certain ailments just "happen" when you hit your 50s and beyond. Arthritis and heart disease aren't "diseases of old age." Neither is diabetes or dementia. A recent 13-year study has demonstrated that social factors are the most significant factors contributing to Alzheimer's. .......No matter how old you are right now, I want you to know that your best years can still be ahead of you!'
The discovery of Glyconutrients by Mannatech Inc. has given hope and renewed energy to many. Early research on glyconutrients (the necessary sugars) suggests that by adding glyconutrients to the human diet there is an increase in optimal health and well-being.

Natural Alternative Cures
'Alternative doctors are awed by this astonishing self-healing ability of the human body and mind, They know that within you lies an amazing healing power that is greater than any cancer drug or "miracle medicine" that science could ever create.
The natural healing techniques work on a two-step process that strengthens the body's self-healing mechanism.
1. The most important first step is to halt whatever is causing the trouble in the first place. This may mean you should stop eating foods that feed the cancer process or inflame your arteries, It may mean to cease taking the arthritis drugs and painkillers that are destroying the tissue in your joints. It may require you to reduce some of the stress in your life. Or, to eliminate the pollutants in your home and your immediate environment. Or, to cut down on some of the toxic substances coming into your body - whether it's sugar, alcohol, medications, and other problem-causing substances.
Unfortunately, you won't hear about this from most conventional doctors. That's because they do not receive much (if any) training in medical school about nutrition, allergies, toxins, or environments pollutants.
2. When you visit the alternative Doctors, they do all they can to strengthen your body's inherent self-healing power. They do this by providing your cells with extra amounts of the good things known to foster good health. Life, healing foods and health-giving nutrients to strengthen the immune system........'
Mannatech Inc. knows full well that we cannot avoid all the toxins and pollutants that are in our environment and have discovered glyconutrition creating glyconutrient products with vitamin and minerals enhancing our nutrition giving optimal health and wellness.

Things You Should Know!
Did you you know that chewable varieties of vitamin C tablets can cause serious problems including loss of enamel from the surface of your teeth. So there are better ways to absorb vitamin C.
Doctors at Harvard Medical School have made a stunning discovery about beta-carotene. They found that men with a history of heart disease who were give beta-carotene supplements of 50 mg every other day suffered half as many heart attacks, strokes, and death as those popping placebo pills.
Vitamin D is the only vitamin your body can make for itself of course with the help of sunshine. You shouldn't take your vitamin E at the same time you take an iron supplement, since iron seems to destroy vitamin E before it can get in to your system and confer its awesome health benefits. If you don't want to drink two quarts of corn oil or eat a pound of sunflower seeds every day, the only way to get enough vitamin E is with supplements.
Early research on Glyconutrients (the necessary sugars) suggests that by adding glyconutrients to the human diet there is an amazing ability to maintain and balance your immune system, helping you to achieve optimum health and prevent even the most insidious of today's killer diseases.

Supporting Glyconutrients
Since 1977, he has educated health care professionals and the public in many countries. He is the author of 'Nugent's Physicians Desk Reference for Applied Clinical Nutrition' used by thousands of doctors worldwide. In 1989 his teachings turned exclusively toward the environment and human health.
In 1998, he retired from practice to dedicate all his energies to delivering the vitally important message in his book "The Missing Nutrients". Through radio, television, tapes, his writings and his lectures, he has reached millions with this message. His exceptional communication skills have made him enormously popular with audiences around the world.
Mannatech Inc. produce the glyconutrients, which Dr Nugent refers to as '..not just one of the most recent discoveries, but without question, the most important for supporting human health.' Mannatech's Inc. supplements of plant based vitamins and minerals, plus phytochemicals.

Worship Increases Immune System
This amazing information was taken from "Don't Worry Be Happy" by Greg Biddell.
'Dr Darryl See, MD from the University of California Irvine Medical School has shown through his studies that the average person's immune system has dropped over 25% since 1980 and is still plummeting at an accelerated rate due to dietary deficiencies, stress and toxins. Doctor Carl Peterson a brain specialist at the Oral Roberts University in Tulsa Oklahoma was doing research on the relationship between the brain and praying or speaking in other tongues.
He discovered that as we pray or worship in the Spirit, the brain releases two chemicals which are directed to our immune system, giving it a 35% - 40% boost, which in turn promotes healing within the body, these secretions are triggered by a part of the brain which appears only ever to be activated when we are in a time of Spirit filled prayer and worship.'
Mannatech's dedicated researchers have made discovered much about the requirements of the cells in our bodies and have produced glyconutrition in the form of Glyconutrients and antioxidants giving optimal health and well-being. There is still much to learn about the human brain and dedicated researchers are finding new discoveries all the time.

Extraordinary Mercury
Excerpt from Creation Vol. 26 No. 4 magazine - 2004
If you were standing on Mercury, you would see the sun rise, then immediately set again before rising again and travelling westwards. Similarly, at sunset, it rises again briefly, before setting once more. This is due to the way Mercury's rotation combines with its very elliptical (egg-shaped) orbit.
Unlike most other planets, Mercury has no moons.
Its thin atmosphere is made of helium and sodium.
A year on Mercury is only = 88 Earth days but ,
One of its days = 59 Earth-days long!
The most interesting discovery about Mercury is that is has the highest density of all the known planets (other than Earth) Mercury is so dense that it's thought to have an iron core occupying some 75% of its diameter.
This extraordinary density has generated much turmoil and confusion in evolutionary astronomy. After decades of struggle, most astrophysicists today have given up and admitted that Mercury's high density cannot be accommodated within slow-and-gradual-development models.
Mannatech has also taken the world by surprise. Their cutting-edge scientists discovered glyconutrients. Recently they have introduced another product - PhytoMatrix - a plant-sourced multivitamin and mineral supplement utilising proprietary technology to provide superior delivery of essential vitamin, minerals and important phytochemicals.

Conditioning By the Experts
ABC’s 20/20 story on Mannatech – Why did ABC not finish their investigation on Mannatech?
By Mark Johnson June 2, 2007
In the U.S., we are conditioned to be directed by "the experts". This has become the educating
(brainwashing) method of choice employed by the media for years, attempting to convince us
“public” of many things. Thank goodness for the Internet where we can expose such nonsense
when we see it. Let's examine the ABC 20/20 deceptions presented by the two "doctors" who
were interviewed on the June 1, 2007 program investigating Mannatech and Ambrotose.
In December 1998, Dr. Freeze and other scientists conducted a study on healthy humans who
were given radioactively labeled galactose, mannose or glucose (sugars found in Ambrotose.)
To their amazement, galactose and mannose were directly absorbed and incorporated into
glycoproteins without first being broken down into glucose. Dr. Freeze and the other scientists
concluded: "that specific dietary sugars could represent a new class of nutrients." A 1998
literature review concluded that humans frequently developed liver dysfunction when they were
fed only glucose in state-of-the art parenteral nutrition (intravenous drip bags). They concluded
that use of other saccharides could have practical consequences, especially in parenteral
nutrition where only glucose is currently given.
In a November 1998 review by Dr. Freeze and others, he concluded that disorders in
glycosylation are much more common than originally thought and that there is emerging belief
that Diabetes in children is just one such genetic disorder. The authors stated that "the finding
that mannose, but not glucose, corrected glycosylation .... was surprising ... Mannose offers an attractive therapy because it should be easy to administer and non-toxic ...
Mannatech filmed the interview between ABC US reporter and CEO Sam Caster. To see full interview, go to www.youtube.com and enter 'Mannatech' in search box.

Power Snowmobiling
Can you imagine the mental stamina and physical endurance required to ride a 500 lb sled for ten hours at a time?
A guy did just that, journeying with more experienced friends, Eric Putter, navigated the web of high-speed frozen freeways and slivers of wooded trails that comprise Quebec's extensive snowmobile trail system. Despite the fatigue, it was the kind of freewheeling adventure of which tall tales are made - and shared. Warmed by the camaraderie and energized by the physical challenge, Eric ignored saddle sores and soldiered on for 1,500 miles. The sheer beauty of running wild across frozen tundra in a frenzy of snow dust and testosterone anesthetized his pain, and found a new appreciation for sport he first tried in childhood.
He has now logged about 10,000 miles on snowmobiles and looks forward to making this wintertime blast an annual rite. Anyone can do so with some planning and mental stamina and physical endurance. An array of vehicular adventures awaits you at ski town, at resorts and on organized tours around the globe.
Manatech's scientists have given essential glyconutrients around the globe for optimal health and wellbeing providing the missing glyconutritionals from our diet with more energy and cell to cell communication.

Speaking To India
It's common today for major companies to outsource some of their business requirements to offshore providers. the call centre of India particularly those in Bangalore, are among those most used by a wide variety of large Western companies.
Workers are generally organised into tiers based on skills and authority, with those who initially answer the phone call generally trained to answer queries according to a set method.
India has been a popular call centre location for several reasons. The time difference between India and much of the western world, particularly the 12-hour gap with North America, has allowed companies to do business 24 hours a day, seven days a week and to ensure overnight deliveries.
Big companies also choose India because its workforce is proficient and highly educated yet relatively cheap to employ. Also the large number of English speakers in India long before Captain Cook ever set his eyes on Australia.
However, thee have also been many criticisms of Indian call centres, particularly towards the working environment. Some people argue that the pay and conditions for call centre operators are restrictive and substandard. It has also been suggested that many call centre workers suffer excessive stress and burnout because they work erratic hours and are forced to adopt western names and accents their callers can relate to.
Mannatech gives their scientifically produced glyconutrients - GlycoBears - to third world countries to help with the children's health.

Science Produced Something for Nothing.
Perhaps India's greatest contribution to scientific knowledge was something we take for granted: the Hindu concept of "zero" which was taken by Arab traders to Europe and forms the fundamental basis of our present decimal system.
Since the ancient Hindus had a concept of nothingness or 'void', they were able to conceive of numerical abstractions - unlike the Romans, whose numbering system always started with 1. Hindu mathematics is also responsible for negative numbers and the algorithms that are now a standard part of computer programming.
The ancient text, the Shulvasutras, lays down some of the fundamental principles of mathematics in the fifth century, as geometry and algebra were used extensively to provide measurements for the building of monuments and temple but also to aid in the broader science of astronomy. The study of the planets and stars was closely linked to spiritual worship so that astrology and astronomy were closely linked in the Hindu imagination.
Astronomy was also an advanced scientific pursuit in the late Mughal Empire. Since the Mughal emperors were considered to be divine, the study of the planets received heavy royal patronage and evidence of this can be seen through the elaborate astronomical observatories at Delhi and Jaipur.
The Scientists at Mannatech with their inovate discovery of glyconutrients have given the world the knowledge of the necessary sugars to bring optimal health and wellbeing to many.
